Defining your vessel – what do you want

To start the search for your liveaboard, ferry or cruise ship we need some basic details of your requirements. The main criteria we will need are outlined below and are accompanied by a  glossary of terms to assist you in completing this section.

Standards: There are a multitude of vessel in the world. There are even more construction standards, certification, fit out and equipment levels. We have also noticed development (2005 to 2009) of class survey rated vessels now being constructed in the middle east. The standard of survey will be interesting to watch as the industry develops in the coming years.

In this section we try to clarify what standards are required for your specific regulatory authority (or flag state), any specific safety issues and deterioration / ageing considerations for the vessel.
